All new users activate their accounts using the Account Activation process. This synchronizes passwords for all connected accounts. For WVU Medicine accounts that are already in use, only the password will be changed. Once accounts are activated, passwords must be changed periodically for your protection. Changing passwords regularly can limit exposure to your data if your account has been compromised.
